On May 1st I will be participating in the GHD 15 person team entry in the 2010 ACT Regional (Canberra) 24 Hour Mega Swim in order to raise funds for people affected by multiple sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects over 18,000 Australians.
Did you know?
* The average diagnosis of MS is 30 years old.
* MS affects three times as many women as men.

Many of the GHD team are participating because they know people affected by MS.

MS Australia's goal is to assist everyone affected by MS to live life to their full potential and secure the care and support they need, until we ultimately find a cure.

The ACT event is to be held at the AIS pool from 12 pm Saturday May 1 to 12 pm Sunday May 2. The GHD team is a really good mix of gender, discipline and age and each person has committed to swim for multiples of 20 minute intervals.

I am targeting to swim 60 to 70 50 m laps over a 9 hour period from 2pm 1/5 to 11pm 1/5
